Improv Class in New York City is a 2-hour fun team-building activity led by an expert instructor. Easy booking. Go out to our studio or bring it to your office. Our introductory improv workshop is a series of exercises and games that teach the skills of successful improvisation: fearlessly taking risks withholding judgment engaging enthusiastically with every idea applying this to your team Participants will take away actionable tools for expressing themselves more confidently and creating more effectively as an ensemble, and have fun doing so in a safe, fast-paced, and low-pressure environment. You ll play games, where you ll learn: Saying “Yes, And” to every idea in the brainstorming process. There is no right or wrong; there are only weak or strong choices when brainstorming. Listening and making what the other person said important. Creating and supporting an ensemble (everyone acting as both leader and follower). Gift-giving, empowering, and making your partners look good. Accepting and building on offers (both overt and subtle ones). Responding with curiosity as opposed to reacting emotionally. Having the courage to not waste time and create expeditiously and efficiently. Disarming difficult conversations and making sure everyone is “on receive” to hear what you are communicating. When we come to your office, we just need a room big enough to accommodate everyone making a circle together, ideally with an open floor plan, but we can be flexible on that. The room needs to be private so we won t get distracted. Groups who book at our studio love to do an afternoon workshop with us, go grab an amazing dinner at a local Bklyn spot (Win Son or Casa Ora are very popular), and then go see the pros improvise at the theater where we have shows on ($10 tix per person).
